Craig Williams

Otis “Craig” Williams, age 71, of Dublin, Georgia, passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, surrounded by the love of his three daughters and his sister. A devoted father, cherished brother, proud grandaddy, and beloved uncle, Craig was a steady source of strength and kindness to all who knew him. Born on February 20th, 1954, in McRae, Georgia, Craig was the son of the late Otis Williams and the late Lula Salter Williams. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1974, receiving an honorable discharge. After his military service, Craig made his home in Conyers, Georgia, before moving to Dublin and eventually settling in Milledgeville with his eldest daughter and her family. Craig’s life was rich with simple joys and deep connections. He found happiness in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and sharing stories over coffee. He loved playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His quiet resilience and unwavering spirit were a testament to the depth of his character and the gentleness of his heart. He leaves behind a loving family: daughters Jessica (Brad) Roberts of Milledgeville, Amanda Williams of Dawsonville, and Allison (Mark) Stockmal of Alpharetta; his sister Libby Egas of Dublin; and two grandchildren who brought him endless joy—Wyatt Roberts (10) and Alivia Stockmal (7). A celebration of Craig’s life will be held on Friday, August 29th, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. A private burial will follow on Saturday, August 30th at Green Meadows Memorial Gardens in Conyers. In honor of Craig’s love for nature and the outdoors, flowers are welcome.
