David Jordan Eatonton, GA David Forrest Jordan, 71 left this world on Wednesday March 13, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville, GA with Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. David was a native of Macon and moved to Lake Sinclair 25 years ago. As a young couple David and Cindy would spend many weekends fishing on the lake and dreaming of the day when they could live there. They were fortunate to be able to do so while they were young enough to enjoy all that the lake offered. David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was happiest when he was outdoors. He had fond memories of fishing with his father and grandfather on St. Simons Island. He was introduced to deer hunting when he was 15 years old and was hooked for life. As the owner/operator of Jordan’s Tree Service in Macon, he took great pride in performing tree removal with the lowest impact on the homeowner’s property. He was a great proponent of tree preservation, he wanted to be proactive and not just reactive. Many residents of Putnam County and surrounding area will remember him as the cross man. 10 plus years ago David started handing out pocket crosses and an inspirational card. He started with first responders and expanded to include others whom he felt might need them. He especially wanted to let those in law enforcement know that they were appreciated and supported. He was preceded in death by his beloved canine companions, Labrador Retriever Bandit and Gordan Setters, Deana, Callie, Annie, Lauren, Justine and Russell. Lily and Missy will miss him greatly. He gave them all a fantastic home and life. He was the son of the late John Forrest and Dorothy Davidson Jordan. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Cynthia Robertson Jordan, Eatonton, brother-in-law Buddy Lewis, Sparta, sister-in-law Rebecca Robertson Jackson (Peter), Macon, Nephews Robert Jackson (Jackie), Macon, Chris Jackson, Macon and great nephews Noah and Lucas Jackson, Macon. He also had numerous cousins.
