Eloise Stubbs

Mrs. Eloise Beckum Stubbs, age 79 passed away on January 8, 2024, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2 pm at Northside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA with Rev. Brandon Witt and Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday at 1 pm until the service hour. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stubbs was a native of Oak Park, GA, and had made her home in Baldwin County for most of her life. She was a LPN for over 30 years and retired from Central State Hospital. After retirement, she continued to care for family, friends, and those in need with her skills and loving heart. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years, James “Jimmy” R. Stubbs, Jr.; children Robert Lee “Bobby” Stubbs and Anita Kristie “Bunnie” Stubbs; parents Robert L. Beckum Sr., and Feeter Y. Beckum; siblings R.L. Beckum, Jr., Thomas L. Beckum, Wilbur L. Beckum, Toni E. Beckum and Herbert L. Beckum. Survivors include her daughters, Angela Williamson (Stan) of Lexington, S.C. and Amy Stubbs of Milledgeville; brothers Melvin Beckum (Gisele) of Crestview, FL, Joseph Beckum (Linda) of Oak Park, GA; sister Madie Conley of Eatonton, GA; brother-in-laws, Tommy Stubbs (Sandra) and Wally Stubbs (Tami) of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Chandler Williamson and Sydney Williamson of S.C., Andrew Ward (Angel) and Anna Grace Ward of Milledgeville. Where have you gone, my precious mother? I so much still want you here. You have been a mother to us all. You even chose to care for the young and homeless. “She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy”. You were always a loving wife until you held his hand and he took his last breath. So where are you now? Reunited with him and all those who have gone before. Her Lord said to her, “Well done, good and faithful servant…..enter into the joy of your Lord”. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Northside Baptist Church building fund.
