Faye Little

Rita Faye Little, age 68, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away December 22, 2023 at her home. Faye was born and raised in Baldwin County and was the daughter of the late Samuel Woodrow Little, Sr. and Edna Earle Loyd Little. She worked in various fields over the years, but was most proud of her work at the Grumman Corporation. There she contributed to the construction and assembly of aircraft like the F-14 Tomcat fighter jet, as well as the various Space Shuttles for NASA. Her entire life, Faye never shied away from hard work, and never took on a task where she didn’t give her all. Many figured she moonlighted as a comedian. While clearly qualified, her family can find no confirmation that she actually did. Many knew Faye as an outgoing and gregarious personality with a tremendous love of life. To know Faye was to love her. Family was very important to her. Faye helped look after her parents as they aged. Whether it was simply keeping them company, or acting as their caregiver, she was always there to care for them without question. She loved the game of golf, whether playing, attending tournaments or watching on television. She attended one of the greatest Sunday rounds at the Masters ever on a beautiful spring day in 1986. Saturdays in the fall, she’d never miss the Georgia Bulldogs play. Surely, she had all in Heaven Calling the Dawgs shortly after arrival. In all things she enjoyed, she was always happiest while with friends. She is preceded in death not only by her parents, but also her siblings Samuel “Sam” Woodrow Little, Jr. and Barbara “Bobbi” Duggan Little. She is survived by four nephews, Tom Duggan (Wendy) of Tennille, Shane Duggan (Kara) of Tennille, Robb Little (Kristen) of Denver, North Carolina; Scott Little (Julia) of Milledgeville, as well as many great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Faye’s Life will be held January 20th, 2024 at Freedom Church, 500 Underwood Road, Milledgeville, Georgia. Visitation with the family at 9:30 AM, and Services at 10:30 AM. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Baldwin Memorial Gardens, in a private ceremony to be held later. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all who have helped Faye with her care over the past year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cafe Central Milledgeville, a not-for-profit soup kitchen serving the Milledgeville community, and may be mailed directly to Cafe Central at 500 Underwood Road, Milledgeville, Georgia 31061.
