Jackie Holsenbeck

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Harris Holsenbeck passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Services will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Pickard and Reverand Tim Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the foyer of the Fellowship Hall prior to the services. Burial will follow the ceremony at Memory Hill Cemetery. Jackie was the daughter of the late A.E. and Adrian Pagett Harris of Perry, Georgia. She was born in Macon, Georgia on June 19, 1942. She graduated from Perry High School in 1960 and attended Georgia Southern College. She was crowned as the Georgia Peach Queen in 1962, was selected as one of 1972’s Outstanding Young Women of America, and was appointed to The Georgia Eighth Congressional District Advisory Council. She worked at Baldwin Enterprises and Grumman Aerospace where she retired in 1995 as a Senior Personnel Administrator. She was a member of the Junior Woman’s Club and the Milledgeville Garden Club. Jackie was married to the late William M. Holsenbeck and they enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with their church family, and their children and grandchildren. Jackie was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the CIA Sunday School Class. She was the Chair of the Church Decorating Committee for many years. Survivors include her children, William Robert (Rob) Morris, Jr (Anita), Michele Morris Hogg (Gary), and Holley Morris Roberts (Cliff); and step-children, Sarah Holsenbeck Saunders (Richard), Brenda Holsenbeck Manley (Greg), and Ruthie Holsenbeck Norman (Mike); and her brothers, Add Harris (Wren) and John Harris (Grace). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Haley Gilman (Heath), Jordan Demmon (Anna), Maggie Morris, Hannah Meeks (Zach), Olivia Morris, Ansley Roberts, Ford Roberts, Will Hines (Lori), Forrest Hines, Madison Fitzgerald (Adam), Gregory Manley (Gloria), Conrad Helms, Griffin Helms Crissy Mashburn, John Hogg, Brandon Hogg (Taylor) and 13 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the special friends and family who provided extra care and support over the years. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Northside Baptist Church Building Fund.
