Mack Johnson

Mr. Mack Henry Johnson, 84, passed away on December 30, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2PM in Crossroads Baptist Church in Eatonton with Pastor John McMillian, Jr. officiating. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 PM until the Service time at the Crossroads Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was a native of Canton and had made his home in Eatonton. He was the son of the late Seth Harris Johnson and the late Cora Mae McArthur Johnson and was preceded in death by his Brothers - Dashel, Julian, Jack and John; Sisters - Barbara Gable, Mary Jeanne Johnson, and Clara Scott; and Great Grandson - Korin. He had worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church in Eatonton. Mack Johnson was a big hearted family man that loved his garden sharing with all to enjoy, fishing, hunting, mowing yards all around free of charge. His first marriage to Brenda Westbrook gave them two sons whom he loved dearly. Their sons gave them four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren that he thought the world of. Mack later in life married Anne Gazaway that he cherished and loved whole heartedly. The marriage brought Mack two addition stepchildren and several more grandchildren and great grandchildren that he cared deeply for as if they were his own. Mack was a selfless man putting everyone's needs before his own. He carried a witty humor while never at a loss for words and could supervise any task put before him to the best of his possibilities. Mack will be missed by many and welcomed with open arms on your journey to the top. Mack you will continue to live on as our "Mackie-Poo, Mr. Turnips, and the "Lawn Ranger". He is survived by his Wife Anne Gazaway-Johnson; Son - Alan Johnson, wife Norma Johnson; Son - Brian Johnson; Brother - Donald Johnson, wife Linda Johnson; Sisters - Selma DeBerry, Elayne Darnell, Gayle Johnson and Shippey Gardner; Step child - Becky Dunn, husband Sean Dunn; Step child - James St.Germain, wife April St.Germain; 4 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 8 Step grandchildren; 7 Step great grandchildren.
