Tara Ivey

Tara Christine Ivey passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. Tara was born and lived in Baldwin County most of her life. She is survived by her children, Matt Ivey (Brooke), Jordie Hanson (Jack), Jade Bloodworth, and step-daughter Amber Bloodworth; grandchildren, Jada Helms and Kenslee Ivey; sister, Haley Veal (Greg) and dear friend, Donna Haskins. She was preceded in death by her late parents, Mathew Harris Ivey and Betty Lavonne Holder Ivey, and sister Sabrah Ivey Braddy. Tara was a natural artist who lived an unapologetically authentic life. She was a talented painter, photographer, and musician. The vibrant landscapes she captured on film and whimsical designs she created are a testament to her love of nature and deep connection to Native American culture and traditions. She had a passion for live music, often seen dancing under the stars at concerts and festivals, her laughter mingling with the melodies. Music was her heartbeat, and she shared that love with everyone, encouraging her children and friends to find their own rhythm in life. An avid journaler, Tara found solace in the written word, documenting her thoughts, dreams, and reflections. Her journals were a treasure trove of insights and inspiration, filled with quotes that resonated deeply with her and those around her. She often shared her favorite lines, reminding us all to embrace life’s journey with open hearts and minds. Tara judged others by their character rather than their circumstances and welcomed all walks of life into her orbit. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen and valued; especially friend’s of her children for whom she offered a safe space without judgment. Her close circle of friends was a tapestry of diverse souls, united by her unwavering support and kindness. Tara’s vibrant spirit lives on through her children who will carry forward her legacy of love, creativity, and adventure. Her warmth and wisdom will be profoundly missed, but will continue to inspire all who knew her. In her memory, the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home and a celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM in Williams Funeral Home Chapel.
