Mrs. Barbara Jean Owen, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until the service hour. Mrs. Owen was a native of Lithonia, and had made her home in Milledgeville since 1984. She was the daughter of the late John Hardeman and Levie Leola Vaughn Owen; and was preceded in death by nine siblings. She was a master preachers wife and homemaker. She served churches in Albany, Americus, and Milledgeville, retiring in Milledgeville. She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Wellborn of Milledgeville; brother, Stephen Mercer Wellborn (Diane)of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Allison Raak (Jason), Douglas Wellborn(Kayla Berg), and Landon Wellborn( Calley Golden); and great grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, and Levi
