Cathy Grant Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Catherine Lou Veal Grant was born November 13, 1946. On May 24th 2022 she received a call with an offer she could not refuse. The offer came with a huge sign-on bonus of a family reunion with her mother and father : Nina Myrtle Frost and Louie Evans Veal Sr., her siblings: Nina Claire Veal Quinn, Louie Evans Veal Jr, Coressa Veal Hornsby, Ernest Franklin Veal Sr. and Carole Lynn Veal along with her late husband Edward Larkin Grant Sr.. As a former secretary, shipping clerk, avid bowler and full time Domestic Goddess, her new assignment takes her to a wonderful place where she will be dancing and singing in the streets, without sickness and pain. The hardest to leave were her children that brought so much love and laughter to her life: Hilda LaRue Josey Wooten (Nicky) and Edward Larkin Grant Jr ( Shawna); and her beloved grandchildren; Caed Everett Josey-Wooten, Noah Edward Wooten, Logan Hannah and Lukas Habert (Hotdog) Bryant, Landin Aaron and Lawson Chase Grant, bonus grandsons; William Chandler and Nickolas Brooks (Fatboy) Wooten. She also leaves behind her brother-in-love; William Thomas Quinn and her sister-in-love: Geraldine Pearl Huff Veal and lots and lots of nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. The family can be contacted at the Big House, 1515 Irwinton Rd, Milledgeville, GA 31061, where they will be celebrating her life Friday May 27th from 5-8pm. Her interment will be held privately later. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice Care Options of Milledgeville. The family would also like to express their sincerest and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Jody Maddox for the love and care he gave her and her children while she was waiting on her call. She has always said “don’t be sad for me, imma be just alright”.
