Pamela Stafford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On July 9, 2022, Pamela Lee Stafford, age 74, went to be with her Heavenly Father. She was the third daughter of four of Col. Charles Leonard Stafford and Bonnie Applegate Stafford. “Pamie” was born in 1948 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As an Air Force child she lived in many places including Albuquerque, New Mexico, Misawa, Japan and Tucson, Arizona where she fell in love with Mexican food. Pamie passed away in Milledgeville, Georgia where she lived the last years of her life. She struggled with developmental delays but graduated from special education Howenstine High School in Tucson at age 18. As a young adult she worked in an office at Robins Air Force Base and the Happy Hour workshop in Warner Robins, Georgia in programs structured for the intellectually disabled. Her diary is represented by her beloved charm bracelet. The charms represent places she lived, pets she had, vacations, hobbies, and the work she did. Pamie and her mom did many crafts together like sewing and ceramics. They both loved music very much. During her time at Chaplinwood Rehab Center in Milledgeville she really loved playing bingo, getting dressed up for costume parties and doing crafting. Our family would like to thank all those who were a part of her life and took such good care of her at Chaplinwood and Happy Hour. Pam is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters: Lynn Hammack (Marvin) of Prescott, Arizona; Charlene Jones of Beavercreek, Ohio; Jane Lester (Rick) of Marietta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
