David Brasch

Services for Mr. David Wayne Brasch, 58 will be conducted Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2 PM in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 PM until the service hour. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Gouker Brasch; daughter, Kalyn Corwin (Jonathan) of Eatonton GA; sons Justin Brasch of Tokyo Japan and Shane Farley of Dublin GA; two grandchildren, Brien Corwin and Nora Corwin; sisters Debbie Rolens (Brian) of Illinois and Michelle Ramos (Rick) of Indiana and brother Scott of Tennessee. David was preceded in death by his parents Lois Monahan Schueman, Cliff Schueman both of Illinois and Jim Brasch of Wisconsin. David served proudly in the US Army for 20 years where he was able to travel the world providing him with numerous stories to tell, like the time he was windsurfing in Greece having a great time until he started to hear the theme from Jaws playing in his head and quickly made his way back to shore. He was employed at ByLight Professional IT Services as a Senior Director for the past 14 years where he provided proposal management, technical project management, engineering design, project and capacity planning and supervision including technical oversight and direction of System engineers among numerous other activities. Despite his time in the Army and with ByLight, he didn’t find his true calling in life until he was blessed with two wonderful grandkids and that was when David aka The Best Papa ever came to be. Nothing meant more to David than Family. David will always be remembered for his giving nature, unique sense of humor, his expertise with precise measurements and what his kids refer to as Davidisms… Think safety… Good lookin out… Occupio… Fragilee, and for his explosive rendition of ABCs. We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, Dad, Papa and friend and we will miss David every day. We each have our own special memories of him that will live on in the hearts off all those who loved him. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Wounded Warrior Project.
