Lisa Celeste Priest

Lisa Celeste Priest came into this world on August 28, 1967 to Eugene P. Priest and Rosalind M. Roberts (formerly Priest) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. She departed this life peacefully in her home in Milledgeville, GA on March 7, 2026. Lisa spent her early years in Rockville, MD and was educated in the Montgomery County Public School system graduating from Rockville High School in June 1985. She later completed Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from Regent University. Lisa went on to serve in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. Lisa, also known as Celeste, loved the Lord and served in various ministries while a member of Christ Church of Rockville,MD, Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, VA and Covenant Life Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Lisa loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She participated in the drama ministry and the praise and worship team until her health began to fail. She continued to serve on the prayer team at Covenant Life Church and could be counted on to send prayers via text when she was to weak to reach out by phone. In spite of her declining health, Lisa used her gifts to bless others. For many years she became a one-woman ministry, crocheting “comfort “ blankets to distribute at a local hospitals to parents grieving the death of their newborn babies. She was a very creative woman and enjoyed crafting, designing and making greeting cards as well as scrapbooking using “Stampin’ Up”. She also got great joy from gardening, was an avid reader and when she was physically able, she enjoyed dancing and even took ballroom dance classes. When there was a death in the family, Lisa would write a poem in their memory to be included in the program. Lisa truly loved the Lord, life and her family, especially Chelsea. She experienced many good times and many challenging times in her lifetime. Despite it all, she endured them with strength and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Like Lisa, it is our faith in Jesus Christ that will bring all of us who loved her dearly through this difficult season. We find comfort in knowing she is no longer sick and is in the presence of the Lord. Lisa was loved by many and leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter and caregiver Chelsea Alexandrea Priest, her mother Rosalind M. Roberts, two brothers Brian L. Roberts (Denise), Aaron J. Roberts, aunts Sheila Pratt, Gail Wright, uncle Sidney Mahone, Sr., nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is also survived by the members of Covenant Life Church and Prayer Team who have supported, prayed for and with Lisa for many years. Lisa was preceded in death by her father Eugene P. Priest and stepfather James L. Roberts. Funeral services for Lisa Priest will be conducted Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville with Brother Curtis Foreman officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, with Military Funeral Honors. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10:00 am until the service hour.
